Holy Saturday Reflection
Today is quiet.
We know about the gift of Easter Sunday.
BUT do we give ourselves time to truly understand this in between moment.
Sometimes I get caught up in the excitement of Easter. Preparing food for the celebration with family, coloring Easter eggs, and cleaning the house are many examples of where my time is spent on Saturday. This is not bad. In fact, I feel the happiest in those moments.
However, this morning’s devotional had me pause. Today, we know the tomb is closed and Jesus’ body is laying on the other side.
Can you imagine Mary standing in front of the tomb after experiencing such a painful and sad crucifixion?
Mary was not at home preparing for her son’s return to celebrate his resurrection.
She was probably curled up in her bed reliving all the beautiful memories. She was probably praying and asking for peace in her heart.
As I imagined this very moment, I immediately received the inspired thought BE STILL AND KNOW.
Psalms 46
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”
Psalms 46:1
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
Psalms 46:10
What a beautiful message from God this morning.
Today is the day to
BE STILL 🛑
BE THANKFUL 🥰
BE SILENT 🤫
BE PEACEFUL 🕊️
Amen
